Dr. Emma Fritz is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Dr. Fritz practices general obstetrics and gynecology. She also practices high-risk obstetrics and handles minimally invasive laparoscopies and same-day surgeries. She is one of two robotic surgeons in Delaney OB/GYN (Dr. Chambers being the other).
Dr. Fritz has lived in Florida for most of her life with a few notable excursions. She went to college at The University of Chicago where she studied biology. After school, she traveled as a Peace Corps volunteer. She lived in Benin, West Africa for a little over two years. It was during that time working as a water sanitation specialist that she developed a strong interest in women’s issues. In addition to her formal responsibilities, Dr. Fritz spent a great deal of time working on projects for the improvement of health and financial well-being for women.
After returning to the United States, Dr. Fritz pursued a Master’s of Public Health and was very interested in population health and epidemiology. However, she needed more personal interaction with the people she would affect, so the next stop was medical school. At the University of South Florida, Dr. Fritz developed a passion for obstetrics and gynecology. She found that the medicine was always interesting, the patients very dynamic, and that there was no greater thrill than the arrival of a new baby. Since finishing residency at Arnold Palmer Hospital for Women and Children, she has had the great fortune to practice medicine in Orlando. She is a partner at Delaney OB/GYN.
Dr. Fritz’s interest in women’s issues and health will probably never wane since she now has two young daughters of her own. Her interests include reading, tennis, and travel.
Dr. Emma Fritz was named in the top 5 of Orlando’s Best OB/GYNs
by Babyourself Magazine, Central Florida’s magazine for pregnant and new mommies.
