Dr. Wendy Whitcomb is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a Diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners and credentialed by The North American Menopause Society as a NAMS Certified Menopause Practitioner (NCMP).
Born in Springfield, Vermont, Dr. Whitcomb has been practicing obstetrics and gynecology since 1998. She received her baccalaureate degree in French from Dartmouth College in Hanover, New Hampshire in 1990, graduating Magna Cum Laude. Her doctor of medicine was awarded to her in 1994 from the University of Vermont College of Medicine in Burlington, Vermont. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at St. Louis University in 1998, where she served as Academic Chief Resident. Dr. Whitcomb was awarded the Hubert A. Ritter Award for outstanding skills in gynecologic surgery and the Backer Award for medical excellence in a graduating resident.
She served as a Clinical Instructor in Obstetrics and Gynecology at St. Louis University prior to moving to Tampa, where she practiced with Women's Care Florida for almost 10 years. She relocated to Winter Park 4 years ago, with her husband, a pediatric radiologist, and daughter, joining Winter Park Ob-Gyn. She has special interest in adolescent gynecology and perimenopausal women's health. Dr. Whitcomb also enjoys travel, especially to France, skiing and participating in her daughter's school activities.
