She attended the University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) for medical school and stayed on at UTMB for her residency in OB/GYN, which is where she met Dr. Stephanie Van Zandt. After residency, they joined a group practice in Ft. Myers where we met Cynthia Zelesnik, ARNP. The three of them decided to venture out on their own, and in 1993 started Gulfcoast Women’s Care in Clearwater.  In 1996, they joined with another female physician, and Contemporary Women’s Care was born.

Dr. Young spends most of her free time with her husband Jeffrey and their four children. Any free time after that is spent reading, shopping and going to the theater.
